A Book about non-conformist femininity.
The Book "Women* I See" is a tribute to those who do not fulfill social expectations of gender. Through a series of portraits, it highlights people who were born female, who identify as women* at the time they are photographed, but who do not necessarily conform to social gender norms. The work addresses the limitations and experiences caused by gender differences, the constant search for one's own identity and unfulfilled expectations in adulthood. This work encourages people to question and explore their own gender roles. It shows the diversity of those who courageously try to live themselves and thus leaves open the question of how a woman should be.
