A micro project about the demarcation of black working class and white upper class in Cape Town.

5 Days in Cape Town, December 2018

“The Crossing” is a photographic research project about the demarcation of black working class and white upper class in the upscale suburb of Camps Bay, South Africa.

This fragmentary project is an attempt at an approach in form of a micro diary, with notes and texts from both conversations on WhatsApp and memory.

The drawings always sketchily depict the adjacent photo and were drawn blind.

This is the discovery of a problem from the point of view as a white tourist.
